A 5s buff with no damage behind it does little once fights outlast one Rage cycle, and as an SSR it never evolves. Its lasting job on an account is Logging, not combat.
Overview
Cerverdant fills an Earth slot for the first days of an account and not much longer. Verdant Grace raises every Earth ally's Attack by 20%, but only for 5s, and it adds no damage of its own, so once fights last beyond a single Rage cycle the buff is gone when it matters. As an SSR it never evolves, and the recent SSR stat cut lowered that ceiling further. Salamantis gives Earth a boost that never runs out and hits hard as well, so it takes the slot the day you have it.
Worth keeping anyway: move Cerverdant to Logging, where Verdant Bounty's 30% Wood output keeps it working long after it leaves the squad.
