Once Countervolt fires, every Electric ally becomes a counter threat, which punishes teams that dive. A, not S: nothing happens before that first cast, and its damage cut overlaps with Shadowvolt's.
Overview
Fulgairy wants to be hit. Countervolt wraps it in a shield that strikes back for 413% up to 5 times, and Thunderous Boon cuts the damage every Electric ally takes by 12.5%, which is why every Electric team on our Best Teams page builds its front line around it. Keraunosaur is the real reason to invest. After each Countervolt, every Electric ally counterattacks twice for 300% when hit, so a team that dives your back row pays for it as well.
There are two limits. The squad counters only begin after the first Countervolt goes off, so the opening seconds of a fight run without them. And Thunderous Boon doesn't stack with Shadowvolt's damage reduction, so an account that already built that Mega loses part of what Fulgairy brings. Outside Electric it is a plain counter tank.
