Its stopgap role ended with the SSR stat cut, since a 4s shield is gone before most fights turn. Adolphonis holds the Water front far longer, and Platyputz's real job now is Logging.

Overview

For the first two Water teams we list, Platyputz fills a front slot, and it should leave the moment Dolphriend is ready. Bubble Shield wraps it in a shield worth 15% of max HP for 4s, and every Ascension step on that skill improves the shield only against non-explorer targets. Blunt Sense carries the same restriction on its damage cut, so the defensive kit is narrower than it first reads.

It lost more ground in the SSR stat cut before Season 2, and SSR rarity leaves it no later form to grow into. Its lasting use is in camp, where Logging and Sawing keep it busy long after it leaves the squad. Stop feeding it combat upgrades once a UR front-liner is built.
