Its melee skills gain 60% power, but it loses HP equal to 20% of the damage they deal — 4% less per positive DEF stage it holds.
Lumi Master/Lumis

At a glance
- Why this tier
Mudhorn is C because Carefree's big melee hits cost HP from an 80 HP body. Rhiniron is the sturdier version, so evolve it.
Mudhorn's skills
Fixed kit always on Mudhorn, can't be swapped
Charges the current enemy.
Its automatic attack: a Ground hit every 1.2s for 12 power. That is slower than most, so anything that triggers per hit rather than per point of damage fires less often here.
Swappable skills choose which one to equip
Hits the current enemy and heals this Lumi for 50% of the damage dealt.
Hits the current enemy and switches out; the Lumi coming in gains +1 DEF stage.
Rams the current enemy; this Lumi loses HP equal to 20% of the damage dealt.
Hits the current enemy, plus one extra hit for each positive DEF stage this Lumi holds; its DEF stages then reset to 0.
Raises this Lumi's ATK by 2 stages.
Hits every enemy on the field with falling rock; +50% power when there is more than one target.
Skills marked "Used in official line-ups" are the ones the game's own in-client line-ups equip on Mudhorn. See those line-ups.
How to use Mudhorn
Mudhorn already has Carefree's 60% melee power boost, paid for in HP, and Rhino Rush hits for 90. 80 HP is weak for a Lumi that drains itself: every hit it lands costs HP. Earth Retreat and DEF stages ease the cost. Rhiniron keeps the trait with more HP and a heavier horn, so wait for that.

Each column is the species' own Min–Max range at its reference level — the exact spread the in-game Aptitude tab shows (an individual catch rolls somewhere inside it). See the Stat Rankings to sort the whole roster by any of these. Attack Speed is the Skill tab's Attack Interval: the seconds between automatic basic attacks, fixed per species, so lower is faster. Every basic attack deals the same damage per second, so a quicker one lands more hits rather than more damage, which is what on-hit effects care about. Each Swift stack speeds it up by 10% and each Paralysis stack slows it by 10%.
