- Why this tier
Rochelon is A as the trap team's second layer: Earth Spike takes 10% of max HP from every enemy that enters, for 3 Energy, and it carries Dragon Roar to spring it. Ice hits it for double on only 82 HP.

How to use Rochelon
Earth Spike is the reason to run Rochelon in the trap team in the Arena: a cheap 3-Energy trap that takes 10% of max HP from every Lumi stepping onto it. Rock Shell heals it 2% whenever a basic attack hits it, 3% if the attack is super effective, and Earthen Stomp clears Burn, Paralysis, Poison and Asleep before it hits for 90.
82 HP is low, and Water, Grass, Ice and Brawler all hit it for double, which is why Ice teams are its worst matchup. Muscledog is the sturdier stand-in, but it brings no trap.

Two traps go down on the enemy's side, then Floragon keeps dragging fresh Lumi across them. Poison Swamp and Earth Spike each cost 3 and deal no damage; once both are down, every enemy that comes in takes 10% of its max HP and 1 Poison, and Floragon's Bloom trait adds a Leech while it is on the field. Dragon Roar forces the current enemy off for another 3, and the swap wipes any stat stages it had built, so setup Lumi lose their buffs every time.

Each column is the species' own Min–Max range at its reference level — the exact spread the in-game Aptitude tab shows (an individual catch rolls somewhere inside it). See the Stat Rankings to sort the whole roster by any of these. Attack Speed is the Skill tab's Attack Interval: the seconds between automatic basic attacks, fixed per species, so lower is faster. Every basic attack deals the same damage per second, so a quicker one lands more hits rather than more damage, which is what on-hit effects care about. Each Swift stack speeds it up by 10% and each Paralysis stack slows it by 10%.
