Golem has one trick, and it's a short one. Stomp hits the enemy and stuns it for 1 second, and its stars add damage and stretch the stun a little. On a brand-new account with no other fight pet, a short stun buys a moment of free weapon hits, which is worth something before the first Legendary pet hatches.
Past that, it has little to offer. Heroes that want stuns, such as Spark, bring their own, and a stun of a second or two rarely changes how a fight ends. It costs 3 energy, the same as Red Dragon before its first star, and a Rare pet in the lineup lowers your combat stats once you own Legendary ones. Any Legendary pet does more in this slot. The 4% Total ATK it adds to every hero for being owned is the only reason to keep it.
