Hunting Hawk is a counter pet, and a sharp one. Hawkeye Vision strips 10 of the enemy's Focus or Dodge every 4 seconds, whichever it holds more of, and speeds up against targets stacked with both. That is the fix for the Pale Ghost family and for the Haunted Backpack in the Hero Dungeon, which keeps gaining Dodge as the fight runs and turns a build's hits into misses.
Against anything without Focus or Dodge it does almost nothing, so it sits in the B band behind the general picks, and Red Dragon is the better default. It is cheap to carry when you need it: 2 energy, down to 1 after the first star, and a later star strips more per pulse. Take it to 1 star and keep it on the bench for dodge stages, where it beats Eagle's smaller strip.

Every 4 seconds, strip 10 buff(s) from which the enemy has more of, Focus or Dodge. Haste +60% while the enemy has a total of 30 or more Focus and Dodge.
