Racoon brings the smallest damage opener among the pets. Body Slam deals a flat hit plus 10% of the enemy's Max HP when the fight starts, and its stars add a second slice of Max HP, more damage and a better crit chance. On a fresh account with no Legendary pets, it gives a burn run something to open with, which is worth a slot until better pets hatch.
Red Dragon's opener is 40% before any stars, double what a fully ranked Racoon reaches, flat hit aside, and even Fire Fox adds Burn on top of a bigger hit. Racoon costs 3 energy with no star that lowers it, and a Rare pet in the lineup cuts your combat stats once Legendary pets join it. Treat it as a placeholder and move on. Its ownership effect, 5% Total ATK for every hero, is what stays useful.
