At a glance
- Why this tier
Hexdeer holds A as the Arena healer, with Fortune, a squad heal and Healing Light on 98 DEF. Rainbowdeer is the same Lumi with more HP, so evolve it when you can.

Hexdeer's skills
Fixed kit always on Hexdeer, can't be swapped
Hits the current enemy and clears all of this Lumi's status effects.
Its automatic attack: a Light hit every 1.2s for 12 power. That is slower than most, so anything that triggers per hit rather than per point of damage fires less often here.
Swappable skills choose which one to equip
Hits the current enemy and heals this Lumi for 20% of its max HP.
Hits the current enemy and switches out; the Lumi coming in gains +1 ATK stage.
Hits the current enemy with an orb of light and lowers its ATK by 2 stages.
Heals every Lumi in your squad for 15% of max HP and cures all their Poison.
Hits every enemy on the field with light. Costs 3 less Energy on Electric Field.
This Lumi is knocked out; every other Lumi in your squad is fully healed and cured of status effects.
Skills marked "Used in official line-ups" are the ones the game's own in-client line-ups equip on Hexdeer. See those line-ups.
How to use Hexdeer
Hexdeer runs the Rainbowdeer plan a stage early. Fortune cuts the enemy's ATK 2 stages on entry and Sixfold Radiance clears its own status for 80 power; Healing Light, which heals the squad 15% and cures Poison, is the skill to equip for the Arena. 98 DEF keeps it standing.
86 ATK deals little, and Rainbowdeer does all of this better with 100 DEF and 100 HP, so evolve it at Lv. 35 rather than investing here.
Teams with Hexdeer
- Zoryx & CRITIn-game line-up · Harsh Sunlight crit burst

Sunbelle sets Harsh Sunlight and Zoryx cashes it in. The weather adds 20% to Grass damage, and Zoryx's Maple Dart is a Grass move: three needles that can each crit, helped by Nimble's extra 25% crit chance on every attack. Each crit raises Zoryx's ATK by a stage once the throw ends, and each stage makes Focus Blast 1 Energy cheaper. Sunbelle's Sunshine also cuts the damage your whole side takes by 15% while the sun is up and Sunbelle is still standing, bench included.
- Jellistel & RotationIn-game line-up · Stall rotation into Echofrog

The first two Lumi buy time. Every time Hexdeer comes in, Fortune takes 2 more stages off the enemy's ATK, and every time Jellistel leaves, Regenerate heals it 20%. Both carry a skill that attacks and switches out, so they can trade places for several turns while the enemy's damage keeps shrinking. Echofrog is the payoff. Echo fires one more water bullet each time it's cast in a row, up to three, and Round adds 1 Wet whenever Echofrog's skills deal damage, so each follow-up costs 1 Energy less.

Each column is the species' own Min–Max range at its reference level — the exact spread the in-game Aptitude tab shows (an individual catch rolls somewhere inside it). See the Stat Rankings to sort the whole roster by any of these. Attack Speed is the Skill tab's Attack Interval: the seconds between automatic basic attacks, fixed per species, so lower is faster. Every basic attack deals the same damage per second, so a quicker one lands more hits rather than more damage, which is what on-hit effects care about. Each Swift stack speeds it up by 10% and each Paralysis stack slows it by 10%.
